A long time....

Okay, you know it's been a long time since you posted on your blog when you can't remember how to get into it to post! Softball and baseball season keeps me busy and I have no free time to play! I did work Baby B in of course. Just because he's beautiful and I love taking his pictures! Here's a few:

It's Sunday!

For some reason, I always seem to take pics on Sunday. I guess that's my only free day and that's when I wind down and think about things. So I can think "creative" I guess. I took some pics for a friend of KJs. The picture I took of her with her BFs class ring on has become VERY popular! I've taken it several times now. KJs friend was doing her BF a scrapbook like KJ did for hers and needed some more pics, so I gladly agreed! And we helped her a little on the scrapbook also, I provided paper (I have as much as some stores! :) ) and KJ helped her finish it. So here are a few of her pics...

Fun Project

Today KJ took my 4 year old nieces to see Hannah Montana at the movies. They were soooo excited! While KJ was getting ready we decided to do a "Hannah Montana Photo Shoot." They danced and sung and I snapped away. It was hilarious! While they were gone, I got the bright idea of doing them both a scrapbook of their pics. I thinnk I had a temporary brain lapse...2 in a few hours??? Anyway, I did get them both done and they loved them. They got back before I was finished with them and I kept having to show them the pictures and tell them what I was doing while trying to finish. They turned out so cute!! Just makes you feel good...

I just happened to walk in my daughter's room while she had this pulled up on her laptop - she thought I was crazy because I told her to leave it there while I got my camera. When you see your pictures somewhere else, it just makes you feel good...

Baby Pictures....

I don't take just a whole lot of pictures for people - my schedule is pretty tight just with trying to get my kids to where they are supposed to be everyday. However, I have taken pictures of this baby ever since he was born. I just love him, even though he normally doesn't love me back! :)

We got rhythm!

Me and the kids had an unusual experience today. For an hour we attended a David Scalici "Get Rhythm Program" along with some other friends from Kade's school. I wasn't exactly sure what we were going to but it turned out to be really good. It was fun, interesting and different from our normal activities. So typical....

I just love this picture - it is so typical of my two kids. They love each other - can't you tell??? Just thought it was cute, especially with Valentine's Day (my FAVORITE holiday) around the corner.

Oh yeah...I'm not finished with the remodeling post - just got ran off of the computer by my daughter. Look for more to be added to it later!

Some of my favorite things...

I have been living in an ongoing "project" for 4 years. I have been trying to do some house remodeling...while we also try to live here. Not an easy accomplishment. Our house was pretty rough there for a while. But now, four years later, it's beginning to come together. It has a new roof, new plumbing, new electrical wiring, new hardwood floors in the kitchen and refinished hardwood floors in the den, dining room and hallway, there is no longer a washer, dryer and hot water heater in my kitchen...it's now tucked in it's own little laundry room (shared with my office). Now when I walk through my house, there are things I really like, so of course, I took pictures of them. My kids think I'm nuts, but that's okay - it's been a long hard road, and I deserve to do what I want here. So I'll share. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks I can take some more, with new countertops and a new island in the kitchen and the trim that has been standing in the corner for about 3 months now put up. Aaahhhhhh...finally....progress.


This is just a couple of corners in my kitchen...but I love them.

Just a cute picture...

I had WK on a table taking Valentine's pictures - however, the dog just would not leave us alone, she kept coming back and jumping and barking. So I picked her up and put her on the table with him. She actually just sat there and posed! She never moved a muscle, except for starting to kiss on Kade - which ended up such a cute picture because of the "LOVE" garland I had on the table!

I really DO scrapbook!

As I was making pictures of what we were doing on New Year's Day - the kids sleeping and me scrapbooking - I realized I never post any of my pages. So I took pictures of the ones I did last night. I've always heard whatever you do on New Year's Day is what you'll do for the entire year. So I purposely am scrapbooking! This year I hope to do more and get caught up - yeah right! I'm YEARS behind!! I'm also going to clean and do laundry today - maybe that will start the year off right and it will stay cleaner this year....however, I think I tried this last year and it just didn't seem to work out. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just a pretty picture....

I happened to walk around the corner and catch this scene. I had to make them wait so I could grab my camera but I LOVE the picture. This is my brother and nephew putting the finishing touch on my Mom's tree.

Christmas Program

Our church Christmas program was December 7th. KJ did a great job singing - she's still getting compliments. WK was in the Tinker Toy Shop play - he was a football player and there was a cheerleader that matched him and they were a "set" for people to buy. It was really cute. I have pictures of my cousin HS too - she was the Angel of the Lord and the picture is so pretty. My brother directed the Nativity - he did a great job, it was beautiful.

Candy Candy Candy

I make candy every year - LOTS and LOTS of candy! I don't even really eat that much of it - I give it away. This year some friends of mine helped - we're sending some to another friend in Kuwait, of course, he's going to get it for New Years instead of Christmas because we couldn't find a time to make it. We have coconut bon bons and chocolate covered pretzels and white chocolate pretzels and peppermint bark and divinity and thin mints and the list goes on and on! There's also a picture showing what divinity SHOULD NOT look like when you make it!! Took me 3 trys to get it right!!!!

Ornaments

I guess without realizing it that I collect Christmas ornaments. Every year me and the kids go to Hallmark and each of us pick out a new ornament for the tree. I guess the kids like them as much as I do - they always want to know if they get to take their ornaments when they get married....uhhhhh.....NO! :) I like blown glass ornaments too. So I will usually buy a few of those each year also. I have so many ornaments on our den tree that I think I'm going to have to split them next year - maybe just have Hallmark ornaments on one tree and the blown glass ornaments on another - and then all the ornaments the kids have made over the years are on there also. I always make pictures to scrapbook of the new ornaments so I'm posting those. Believe it or not the Pirates of the Caribbean ornament is KJ's - she's hooked on the movie. WK's is the firetruck, he liked it because it's lights work - mine is the moose...it's name is Chocolate Mousse, I thought it was cute!! I got a gift card to Belk's for my birthday - they had the blown glass ornaments 1/2 off so I got those with my card! Great luck!!
